Lily has learnt to drink from a hamster water bottle!!
She's so clever!!
I tried dripping the water in front of her and on her lips a while ago, but she didn't take any notice of it at all. I stood there dripping it til my arms ached! After a week or so I gave up, thinking that she would never understand.
Anyway, she had been outside basking in the sun last Sunday and when I brought her back in I thought I'd try the bottle again... and to my surprise she drank from it!!!
No messing this time! - She knew what it was and drank a couple of drops straight away! She hasn't quite got the hang of licking the end of the tube yet - she tends to bite it, but I'm hopeful that she will drink from it on her own very soon. She's had a bottle in her house all week but I haven't seen her drink from it yet.
Today, every time I showed her the bottle she had a drink from it - when she's had enough she just walks away!
I'm a very proud Chamele-Mum! Lily's a very special chameleon and I wanted to share our success with everyone on the Livefoodsbypost forum!
Thank you Lou for your reassurance and help the other day!! Lily is beginning to eat a bit more again now, although I think she's still on her 'manhunt'!
