Can you tell us about these? We may be looking to get a different species of snake, but preferably not one that is really mean! I think the green tree python looks stunning but doesn't sound like it makes a very good pet unless you are a very experienced owner.
But what about carpet pythons, are they easily tamed? (I was told they're 'feisty' as babies)
cheers

Im not too sure about carpet pythons, ive also heard they can be grumpy, but im sure if you got a baby and handled it regularly it would soon calm down.
Have you looked into Childrens Pythons?
They look amazing, their care is very simple and i've heard they're great feeders!
They're also very docile.
And they only reach a size of 2-2.5 feet (not sure if size bothers you?)
Heres a good Caresheet on them.

See now I might fancy one of those, but Trevor would like something a little bigger. He thinks they look small and squirmy.

lol, they are pretty big too.
Just been looking at Columbian Rainbow Boa's. I guess it's best to speak to people who've kept them, they are rather pretty - I saw one at a particular reptile selling shop in Newport. I'm not sure which variety, just that it was a rainbow boa, it was mauvish coloured. beautiful, but wrapped around my arm very tightly...
I suppose we are looking for something around 4-6ft in length.
