Dear all, this is my first post here, and I really hope that you can help us out here.
My girlfriend keeps several snakes and encountered a problem like never before. Another

layer of skin exfoliated from her Candoia Carinata while it was moulting. Its skin began to

dry so horribly that it is cracked at some parts to the flesh. She tried using neogranormon

and feeding vitamins to the snake but it does not seem to be too much help. It is not well

eater (has not eaten for 3 months now) so it is not in a too strong state anyway.
We are quite despearate as we wouldn't like to loose this poor snake. Please help us :(
(Excuse my English, we are Hungarians, I have found this forum while desperately searching

the net for help.) We have already spoken with vets but they were not very helpful in the

matter, or did not have anything in mind that could have helped us.

Help please :( (you can also send your letter to pitonboa@freemail.hu)

Hi
I am sorry if I am to late in replying but I have just joined the forum.
Did the snake recover from the sickness? the Candoia group come grom the Pacific, Candoia aspersa is a small snake 75cm and requires a humid enviroment, Candoia carinata prefers a dry enviroment and grows 1.5m.
How was your snake kept and what did it feed on?
